Lagos state government said it has concluded plans to commence the construction of a dual carriage Flyover Bridge to decongest the traffic gridlock along Lagos Abeokuta expressway.
The state’s Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr Ganiyu Johnson disclosed this to journalists in Lagos appealed to the stakeholders to support government’s vision and effort to construct the flyover bridge.
According to him the eight metres carriageway will be constructed with two lanes on both sides with a total width of 19.65 metres, adding that the contractor handling the project has moved to site on the project that will be completed within 16 months.
He added that it was necessary to meet with stakeholders and address some of the likely challenges that may occur during construction.
