Rural farmers are optimistic that the Buhari lead administration's agricultural policies will change the mono-economy revenue system in Nigeria.
Speaking to our correspondent, Mr. YAKUBU is of the opinion that the closure of border on rice and other agricultural produce will at the long term creates jobs and increase farming production in Nigeria.
Most rural farmers have been on the deficit side of production over the years as imported consumables have forced local produce to sale below production cost. This has been a major factor for rural-urban migration within the Nigerian states.
